ABOUT MOMENT

We capture the nature of ephemeral retail activations, where speed, urgency and immediacy coalesce with creativity and commerce to produce a destination.

MOMENT first emerged in 2018 from San José Made’s MOMENT San Pedro Square micro-retail project where 14 parking spaces in a downtown San José parking garage were transformed into four micro-retail storefronts (ranging from 250 sq. ft. to 350 sq. ft. in size), perfect for providing local creative small businesses with their first physical storefront.

Established as its own brand in 2023, MOMENT is now the part of Moveable Co. specializing in pop-up retail programming, retail storefront projects and retail activation consulting–all with a focus on creating impactful opportunities.

In addition to its San Pedro Square micro-retail project, MOMENT has launched a successful “four-in-one” retail project in Japantown San José and a storefront featuring rotating themes every three months at the new Google Visitor Experience in Mountain View.

In 2024, in collaboration with City of San José and the San Jose Downtown Association, MOMENT will expand its retail footprint in downtown San José with a new pop-up program designed to activate empty or underutilized spaces with local creative small businesses.
